Sophia said: “I wanted to address the pressures and unrealistic expectations and social standards that we experience in this society fuelled by social media and material things, especially in the modelling and entertainment industries.
“Everyone gets in their head sometimes; everyone has felt like they don’t fit in at some point and everyone needs a shoulder to cry on. This song is my shoulder, it’s where I go when I want to allow myself to feel whatever I’m feeling. I listen to it and feel heard and hopefully others will too.”
Sophia debuted Fragile during an exclusive performance at The Hundred as Birmingham Phoenix took on Welsh Fire at Edgbaston last week. Highlights from her set will be available on the BBC Introducing channels very soon.
